From the Airport
Travel from the Amsterdam Schiphol Aiport is an easy 20 minute train ride to the Leiden Central Station. The train platforms are located directly below the Schiphol Plaza. Tickets can be purchased from the yellow kiosks with a credit or debit card that contains a chip. (To pay by cash or via a credit/debit card without a chip, you will need to go to the ticket counter in the aiport loby.) The organizing team has booked rooms in three hotels in Leiden: Tulip Inn, Golden Tulip and IBIS. A special rate is available for these hotels. You can book your room by sending an email to the hotel of you choice, and mentioning the vdHulst Conference together with the reservation number of the hotel (see hotel list). The registration fee is 350 euro and includes coffee and tea during the breaks, lunch at the the conference days, plus the conference dinner on Thursday evening.
The fee can be payed by credit card through the link provided in the automatic email you will receive after registration. Note that you are not fully registered until payment is received.
Travel Grants
There are a limited number of (small) travel grants available for students or young postdocs. Please use the button on the registration page to indicate that you want to apply for a travel grant. Then send a short letter – in pdf format with filename: name-travelgrant.pdf – to the contact email address summarizing what you expect to take away from the meeting and what you expect to contribute. Please ask your supervisor to write a (short !) supporting letter – in pdf format with filename: namestudent-travelgrant-suplet.pdf – to the contact email address. The deadline for travel grant applications is August 1, 2018.
